Default problems with carb and intake

i bought my k10 with a stock 350with a q-jet 17081200 carb and a 14014432 GMCFM intake and have been havig alot of problems with back firing through the carb on hard acceleratiion and no power. is this a good set-up to be running? i know its not the stock set-up should i change something. it has a fresh tune-up,timing is correct,and the compression test checked out very good. could use some insiight

Backfire through the carb is ignition/timming.

what do you mean by igntion? the timing is right on just fixed that issue.
