2010 malibu remote start questions
I am weighting my options of factory vs aftermarket remote start installations. I am an ASE certified technician and do not want to pay the dealership $100 an hour for work I can do myself. My question is how much will still be required on the dealerships part and would I be able to drive the vehicle after the install without modules being flashed? The main thing I want to avoid if going the aftermarket option is tapping a spare key to the steering column as I have seen some people do with installs. Also if gm's dealer installed remote start option is anything like chrysler's there will be a lot less wiring work to do vs aftermarket install.
