1969 chevy problem
Here's our problem the thing idles perfect but once out on the road it stalls in and out as were driving we can't even make it out of the driveway without it stalling and if we do it shift gears twice maybe 3 times then starts putting out and we have to turn around and come back.
Possibly the gas is perking out of the carburetor once it's getting hot. What carb do you have? I wouldn't be surprised if you say a Quadrajet, based on what's happening. Qjets can be temperamental sitting on top of a hot engine in the heat of the summer, especially if you still have the exhaust crossover on the intake manifold open. Your float level could be set too low as well, which can cause what you're describing.
Change filter first if it's a quad or a 2gc it will be in the carb where the fuel line goes in. If that isn't it, I'd check float drop. As posted it may be too high, and not allowing enough gas into the bowl. I don't think heat has anything to do with it, just not enough gas.
