Default 1994 engine rebuild and swap, can't get rid of spark knock

So I did my first rebuild on a 5.7 350. To be clear, this is my first time havinf rebuilt and engine, and i did as much in depth research as i could aswell as getting advice from people who know eay more than me. The only changes I made from stock were 10:1 compression high compression pistons from a camaro of the same year, and a stage 2 cam. According to everything I've read and people I've talked to, this 2 changes should have been fine. However, I have an intermittent knocking that as best we can all figure is spark knock seeings as the entire bottom end was gauged, torqued to spec, and rotated a dozen times to make sure everything cleared and was tight. No matter how much I mess with the timing I can't get the knock to go away, I can get it to lessen, even go away briefly, but it always comes back. Today I was told the cam is the problem, and that the computer isn't flashed for the higher compression. So now I'm trying to figure out if I can swap my OBD 1 ecm for a camaro ecm or maybe have the ecm re-flashed for a higher compression engine. The only thing I haven't done is pull the wire that runs to the distributor and reset the timing that way, seeings as I just today was able to find where they hit the disconnect for it. Other than that I'm honestly at a total loss at this point.
