s10 can't shift into Park
Barely caught the tow truck guys and payed them off to not tow my truck, despite it being on theirs allready. When the driver was letting the truck back down, he fiddled underneath the engine, I'm guessing to relock the wheels he must have unlocked, but now after driving to work this morning, I can't put the thing into park and it feels like all the gears, neutral, park, reverse, overdrive etc are slightly off. It's like I have a second neutral where park should be.I have to put the emergency break on to step out of the truck. Anyone know what was tinkered with and what I should look to fix? I can't find anything about this. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

RE: s10 can't shift into Park
he disconected the shift linkage sounds like. there should be a cable with a metal or plastic connector, like a heim joint on the end of it connected to the tranny on the drivers side usually. He disconnected it so he could tow your vehicle without damage the the tranny....
