Default probably going back to ford

My 2004 sierra with dual zone AC intermittently would blow hot. Only restarting the truck would reset it. While under warranty took it in twice, nothing found wrong. 3rd time drove it in while blowing hot, they wanted $75 for diagnostics. Tech, despite all my explaining, turned in off. Diagnostic showed nada. That was it. Traded it in for a tacoma, which has been flawless for 80k miles. Now I need full size again, and i like the fords, but wondering if gm has improved their customer relations skills. I had a 5.3 and loved it.

Well, see 'what to do with non-responsive dealer thread'...they still have a way to go, they still make things a fight, which to me is the old school, dead way of doing things. After getting a GM rep involved(or the threat of it), things came around for me...Most people I know that have Fords are happy(seemingly), and I too may make the switch in the future.

Drove a f150 with the 3.5 ecoboost today. Strong, but pricey. Working on the gmc dealer for a 2014 long bed with a 5.3. Rides great, got all the stuff I need, and it's way less than the ecoboost. Tomorrow I'll make my choice.

Tech is right . They all do fail. Good customer service is what keeps customers. My neighbors 07 tundra at 98000 miles has not failed. My 07 silverado failed at 40000 miles. Buy what u want but stay away from asheville Chevrolet .

do a google search; Toyota was forced to buy back thousands of their trucks due to the frames rusting out. do you think those people got anything close to what they had into there trucks.
I could do this with any brand really.

People buy $50 000 vehicles, don't service them (beside oil changes) and in 6 years they are junk. I see it everyday.
I bought a ram with a hemi, best engine in a truck right now imo. Members on the dodge forum are trashing the truck..it will be junk if I don't take care of it. That engine is easily capable of destroying the trans.

Buy what you want...regardless of what anyone says.

I see trucks come in at 30000miles and the trans fluid is brown, rear diff fluid black, front diff fluid grey from moisture. Try to sell the owner a fluid service and think your ripping them off because its before the maintenance schedule. They tell the service writer they will never do fluid services. This only makes sense if you get rid of the vehicle when the warranty is over; then it will be someone else's problem.

My 2007 failed at around 38K mi. Had to get a new engine. 4X4 module was putting truck in 4 wheels whenever it felt like it. Had it replaced no issues since. Now dash cracking with 46K mi. When I get it done I will still keep my Chevy truck. I Love It!! But GM as a customer service entity can....
