Default '07 Chevy Silverado Bedside damage

So I had my friend drop me off at the bus station and take my truck back to my apartment complex today. Shortly after I get a call from him telling me that he wasn't used to driving a truck and didn't know he had to make such wide turns and ran the side of my truck into a pillar. Im stuck on the bus with only a picture he sent me to show me the damage and its driving me crazy not knowing how much it will cost me. Could anyone here possibly take a look and explain to me what damages and costs I may be looking at?

Thanks

You need to get the truck back and take it to a good body shop to get an estimate. Most shops will give you a free estimate.

I'd say replace the bed, and repair the pillar

Wow, I would say that he miss judged that turn by a lot. That is too bad but I am sure that your friend will offer to pay your deductible.

Don't know what state you're in, but in Texas, if your friend has his own car insurance, and uses your car with permission, his liability would pay for damage to your car with no deductible. The damage to the pillar might be covered by his liability or might have to be filed on your liability. Check with your agent and his agent, if he has one.
