Change Oil light on

Default Change Oil light on

I just changed my oil myseft. This light keeps coming on when I cut the truck on?
What might be causeing this?

Did you reset the oil life system when you changed the oil on your driver info center?

How do you do that. I have changed before and not come on like that.

to reset this... turn the key to the on position and floor the gas pedal three times within 10 seconds. watch your dic and it should say oil life reset.

Your owners manual shows that the procedure should be 3 times in 5 seconds. This is what the manual says word for word.

To reset the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message, turn the
ignition key to RUN with the engine off. Fully press and
release the accelerator pedal three times within five
seconds. If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message flashes
for five seconds, the system is reset.
