Possible failure pointsinclude the multi-function switch (turn signal lever with all the switches), thePowertrain Control Module, and theCruise Control Module, or it could be aconnector in the wiring harness. You will probably need to have someone do a diagnostic check on the cruise control system topinpoint what's not working right rather than to just start throwing parts at it trying to accidently hit theproblem.

Check the brake peddle switch first.

This one might sound a little funny but I have a 93 Caprice and when the center brake light burns out my cruise control stops working.

Let me know if this works!

With an ohm meter.

The low-tech method is to have someone watch the brake lights to see if they work properly while you press and releasethe pedal.
