injector wont work
I have a 2000 chevy 3/4 ton truck with a 5.7l engine. Im hoping some one here can help me, I had a bad injector so I replaced them with the delphi conversion. the #6 injector is not getting power to it> I swapped the injectors to be sure of the problem. Im assuming theres a short somewhere in the harness and I am dreading searching for it. Is it possible that its something else? any help will be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the forum.
A short would blow the ECM1 fuse in the underhood fuse block. All fuel injectors are supplied a battery voltage over the PNK wire with key on. The VCM will then ground the other side to energize a particular injector. For the "#6 injector" it's the YEL/BLK wire that goes to connector C2, terminal 16. See if you can measure the voltage on the PNK wire against a known good ground with key on. If voltage absent, there's your problem. If not, there's probably a break on the other wire that goes to the VCM.
