rear end popping

I have a 2003 1500 with 6 inch tuff country lift. The other day I put about 1000 lbs in the bed of the truck. Everytime i hit a bump it seemed like the rearend was binding up then it would pop! Once i unloaded the truck it was fine. What could be causing this.

Sounds like the slip yoke needs grease.
