I have a 92 GMC k1500 4x4 thats i believe needs a transmission now....while im driving down the road i get this jerking back and forth feeling not really a vibration but a pulling and at a steady speed it seems like it drops down a gear then will go back up a gear and keep doing that.....so im looking for a transmission completely in the dark im not to sure what I can all put onto my motor (year range, does 2wd/4wd matter) that sort of thing....any sort of help would be great!

When is the last time you changed the transmission filter?

 

i havent in the 2 years ive owned it

 

it could just need a flush mine did that and thats all i did
