Default Tranny Help!!!

Hey guys I'm new to the site, I'll go post an introduction but I need some help pretty quick. I have an 04 Chevy Z71, 5.3l 4l60e, this weekend I did an 05+ efan installation, with a 34" radiator out of an 09 (I think) State Trooper issue Tahoe. It had radiator cooler on pass side like my original 28" rad, and also had oil cooler on the other side. The transmission cooler connections in the 34" radiator had a slightly smaller thread than the 28", but when I put the male sides in and popped the clips on, I gave both the top and bottom one a few tugs and neither would come off.

Today I had the tune done to activate the electric fans through the pin connections in the computer. I took it around the block, made it about half way around and lost tranny pressure and power. Immediately pulled over, popped the hood, and the lower tranny line had come out of the quick connect in the radiator and spewed fluid everywhere. I reconnected it, pulled on it harder this time, and again it still didn't come off. It seems very secure. Did I just not get it secure the first time? Or are they slightly different? I cant find any definite answers anywhere. I'd like to have one before I go refill it with tranny fluid and try it again.
