'06 Aveo will not start.
I have a 2006 Aveo. When trying to start it, the solenoid engages but the starter will not spin. I tested the starter off of the battery, and it works fine(solenoid engages and it spins). There was no power to the small terminal of the solenoid. I have been unable to find any reference to a starter relay. Both ignition fuses are good too. I get 12V off of all of the terminals of the ignition switch. Also, after I cleaned the ground cable next to the battery I got ~9V to the small terminal of the solenoid. Are there any other ground connections anywhere? Anyone have any other ideas?
Just because the starter spins when it's off the car doesn't mean it's a good one. The bendix spring could be weak and when it hits the flywheel, it isn't strong enough to spin it. If it's easy to take off, take it back off and using a wooden handle of some kind, just hold it against the bendix and apply power. If it's easy to hold in, then there is the problem most likely. Keep in mind I'm not a mechanic and just post opinions on my past experiences fooling with my own cars for forty years.

When you try to launch the Aveo, the solenoid takes place, but the starter does not rotate. I tried the starter out of the battery, and works very well. There is no power in the small terminal of the electromagnet. I could not find a reference to a starter relay.

if what your describing is: when the key is turned to the start position, you hear a single click but no crank.
have someone hold the key in start while you tap the starter housing with the butt end of a hammer. don't mash it so hard to break the field magnets just a sharp rap a few times. It if starts the starter brushes are worn.
if the starter is still off the car; remove the endplate and inspect the brushes.
