Default '08 Tahoe LT Grinding Noise

I have a 2008 Tahoe 4WD that has just recently started making a real low grinding noise on start up / Cutting A/C on. Not sure what this noise is, My suspicion is that it may be coming from something to do with the A/C. My dealer heard that noise when I took it in to them but they do not know what would be causing this. Anyone else out there experiencing these grinding noises on start up, etc??? ANY help and/or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Is this the noise? http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v6...27-08_1118.flv

If so, have the Dealer reference GM Document ID #2022356; the fix for this is bulletin 07-01-38-010 and it is the reprogramming of the ECM. Thanks to the great info from this Forum, the ECM reprogram fixed this problem on my '07 Suburban - and I haven't heard it since! Good luck.

Search the forum for this. One suspect cause was the A/C compressor.

****** 53 that is the noise... I will call my dealer and ask them about the bulletin and update and try that. If that doesnt fix it then I will start investigating the compressor.. Thanks all for the help!!

How do i go to the photobucket account to view your video of the noise? Mine is doing the same thing it sounds like, but of course wont do it at the mechanics. He is saying he needs to hear it to know what it is. Im so frustrated

I took that video....there is a TSB for this. It is a software update. Something to do with delaying the A/C. Don't know the specifics but it's out there. Tell the mechanic to do his job and research and get it fixed.

Default Motor mounts

Have them check your Motor Mounts. The one on the Driver side goes bad.
