1997 suburban blower shuts down
Hi Guys,
So, I put my blower on the highest fan setting, and the AC works great. Then, all of a sudden, it just stops. Poof, the blower just stops blowing. Is it overheating? Why?
I turn the dial counter-clockwise to lower fan speeds, and they all work. After a few minutes on a low speed, I switch back to the highest fan speed and it works again.
Help please !! What's going on here?
Thanks,
Ted

It's a Suburban, so it has a rear evaporator as well. 40 PSI over 225 PSI is totally normal for a C/K-1500-2500 pickup, but with a rear evaporator, that changes the game into a different ballpark, as it has a Thermal Expansion Valve in the rear. That said it could be a bad electrical relay in the engine compartment fuse and relay box under the hood on the driver's side on the fender.
