forgive me if this has been addressed already, but are you running into any computer problems getting that all tied in together?

:chug:
The shift lever on the newer trucks just unbolts. The earlier versions of this body style need a new column. but the older ones are easier as far as wiring goes. since the backup light switch and nuetral saftey switch are on the column.

-4 Car Recalls
-21 Safety Bulletins
-2 Investigations

On the trans switch for auto trans, the 2 wires you need are a pink and a light green, hook these two wires to the rev switch on the side of tranny and your backup lights will work. You can test the wires by "Key ON Touch Wires Together" The neutral start switch can be done the same way. the colors for these on the tranny switch are "purple is hot in start position, puple with white strip goes to start relay." hook one of these to each side of switch on pedal. This will also help idle when setting at a stop light by bringing it up when clutch is pushed in and down when its out.

But you said initially it was for the 2007 Tahoe and the source was the '98 Recall etc.

so is anyone else thinking about doing the swap ? a guy up the road from me has a 98 silverado and just spent around 1200 bucks meanwhile i was trying to get him to swap in a 5 speed and he;s driving his truck again but he said the other day that it's starting to act up again i guessing he's wishing he had made the swap for less than $500 . gm needs to never build this trans again or anything close to it.
