Default 2001 Tahoe Radio Reception

I just bought a 2001 Tahoe and the radio has no reception it barely picks up few stations. It is a Delco stock radio. I pulled it out and made sure the antenna wire was plugged in securely as well as the rest of the connections. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not the consumate expert but it sure sounds like an antenna problem. After a few more of the actual experts here answer you might want to see whose got a cheap antenna to just wire in temporarily and see if it changes. I think Walmart has these at a cheap price.

Listen to the guv, but keep in mind that there is an intermediate antenna cable connection as well that it at the top of the instrument panel at the far passenger side near the A-pillar base.
