Had frequent communication on my case until recently. GM directed me to the lead service rep at my local dealership. He denied that this was a chronic problem. Said that you can't believe anything on the internet. Interesting as he knew exactly where to look for the cracks...........hmmmmmmmmmm, I smell something. Anyway, no idea how this is going to shake out. The dealer is acting as if it is my problem. Almost like I am to blame. My case number is 71-909837974

I think a memeber mentioned this before; he noted that a friend of his works for the Border Patrol and that quite a bit of their Tahoe's have the dashboards cracked. Well, it was confirmed to me last week. I was watching "Border Wars", and sure enough several of the Tahoes which are filmed have dash cracks by the passenger side airbag. Of course GM will blame that on the terrain though.

There are three of us that have 2007 tahoes. Mine is the oldest being purchased in Oct 2006. I might have bumper to bumper if I recall correctly so I might be covered. All three vehicles have the bad door latches, the steering wheel fill peices peeling, the graphics on the ac peeling and cracked dashes in the identical places. Two are garage kept and one is not. All three developed warped rotors which GM will acknowledge. Suspect that the additional vibration did a number on the dash but can't prove it.

Hello Everyone.

Quick recap. 2007 Tahoe with 75,000 miles. 2nd owner. Case # 71-904-531563. Got my dash replace for $250.

Here is my latest. I got a "supervisor" to call me by the name of Brian. He had a cold so I could not understand his last name on my voicemail. However, the number on my caller id went right to him when I called back. That number is 512-386-0680.

Conversation went something like this. We treat each case separately. We do not look at trends. He said this 3 times. I asked who does look at trends? He said corporate. I asked for a number for "corporate". He said, you can't talk to corporate.

I am looking for a number for "corporate".

Well, just got a call from Matt at GM. GM isn't going to do a thing in regard to my Suburban. Basically because it had 80,000 miles on it. Needless to say, am disappointed. This is my third Sub and probably my last. Has had the transmission replaced, lots of interior finish issues (door handles, broken *****, warn h/c decals, etc...) and now the attractive crack going down my dashboard. Should have bought the Sequoia.

That is disappointing that they are basing it on such low mileage, the vehicle is good for at least 250,000 and 5 years....
