2007 Tahoe Tail Light Assembly Replacement Problem
Hi All,
So I broke the passenger side tail light lens and just received the replacement assembly (including bulbs for $82!).
Was able to easily remove the broken assembly and traced the wiring back to the harness to under the rear bumper.
Then the problem. For the life of me, I cannot disconnect the harness that connects the assembly to the car's electrical system. I feel like an idiot, but before I tug too hard and break something, can someone please tell me how to disconnect the connection? Any pictures would be great...
Thanks!
John

I am trying to remove and replace my driver side tail light. I can disconnect the wiring and have unscrewed the tail light , but there are black plastic pieces that are snapped into the frame of the car that either don't come out or should come off of my replacement tail light assembly. Can anyone provide assistance?
Welcome to the forum.
The black plastic inserts must stay w/ the holes in the body. If one or more stays w/ the taillite assy, then pull it off and reinsert it into the body. Make installation of the taillite assy easier.
