Default 99 tahoe ignition help...

key will go in ignition but will not turn.. have tried jigglin key steeringwheel shifter went as far as jacking up car rotating wheels wiggling them back and forth still nothing ... also have tried spare keys...anyone out there have any other ideas?? warn ignition? key?

Welcome to the forum...
there was a discussion about someone wanting to buy a 99 suburban and it was brought up that the sticking ignition was a common issue...
I would suspect that the ignition switch is worn... do you have a lot of keys hanging from the key chain?

na just key and 3 others nothing crazy.. seems like alot of folks have had problems with them.. have tried everything i can think of and then tried what others have suggested .. guess its time to call mechanic and have them replace it..

well had locksmith come out it was the ignition it was warn and locked up!
he was here bout 20 mins re-keyed ignition to fit key and cost $95 guess it coulda been worse... thanks for the help!
