Default Bluetooth on 2009 Tahoe

I just bought a 2009 Tahoe LTZ and am not sure if it is Bluetooth enabled or if something is broken. When I push and hold the talk button on the wheel for 2-3 seconds the manual says the system will voice "ready" then beep. Mine just beeps. I love this big lumbering machine, only disappointment is no Bluetooth, yet and the two mounting tabs on the rear fascia broken. How do I verify if the Tahoe is Bluetooth enabled? Help

Welcome to the forum.

Check the owner's manual.

Default bluetooth

the 09 ltz has it.

but as usual, it's GMs 1/2 assed attempt.

when it beeps, say "bluetooth" then I think it's "pair"

Not like they could have used that huge touch screen to make it easier... like ohh wait.. my Wrangler does.

Shark check the manual for what?

The manual says press and hold the call/Hang-up button on the wheel for 2-3 seconds and the system should say "ready" then beep. The user is then supposed to say "Bluetooth" then "pair".
Real life my machine here's what happens:
Press and hold the call button on the wheel for 2-3 seconds, system just beeps.
I state "Bluetooth" and the system replies either "command not recognized" or "radio, AM station".

The jeep guy had the steps right but my machine is..... What??

Any suggestions?

Sounds like it's not working to me. I've paired several phones with mine using the procedure that you stated and it worked fine.

Is there a reset procedure? Does the vehicle need to be in park that you know of?

Default yes

yes it has to be in park, but the vehicle will tell you that if it's working right.

sounds like it's either not there or broken.

Shark and squirrel. Thx for the notes. I tried it in park and still same "do not recognize" message. Will take to a dealer and have the experts check it out. Will let you know.
Do you know of a website or way where the vehicle VIN can be entered and the complete vehicle options listed? No sticker available with this machine.

Check to see if you have the RPO code UPF in your glove box sticker, this designates: Bluetooth for phone, personal cell phone connectivity to vehicle audio system...
