Can you make heads or tails of this?

RE: Can you make heads or tails of this?
LG,
Hole was not drilled. When you have the license lamp housing housing off (the assembly the chevy bowtie is mounted on that also has the rectangular mounting pad you see in the pic), you simply notch the edge of it - I did it with a pair of diagonal cutters - housing is plastic. Also, to your other question on the PM; after you stick on the camera bracket to the mounting pad on the housing, & using the double stick tape already on the bracket as supplied by Kenwood, I then drilled a single hole through the center of the camera bracket through the housing then inserted a 1/8" rivit for good measure as I did not trust the tape long term.
This is the easy part - wait until you try to fish that video cable connector through the hatch grommet by the housing and then the flex tube at the top - you'll be cussin' then! Remember my method - get a pair of long needle nose pliers & use them to expand the grommet large enough to push the connector through - that would be a lot easier if you get someone else to hold the pliers for you while you push the cable/connector through (I did not have that luxury.....)
Also, as I recall I had a couple of feet of video cable left that I had to coil with the routing I used.

RE: Can you make heads or tails of this?
I actually never thought about it. I dont know how that would have turned out. However, I can tell you I am not about to take it off so I can paint it.WAY to much work. Just in case you guys want to know, it isnt a very fun install and I dont recommend that most just jump in and try to install it. However, if I ever put one on another vehicle I think I will try and paint it! Thanks for the idea.
I guess it isnt as noticable as I thought, my wife finally looked at it today and thought it was fine and wasnt very noticable. So if it passed and received her approval, it must be ok!
