Default Does US8 Radio have External Amp?

My build sheet for 2007 Suburban has:

UK3 - STEERING WHEEL RADIO CONTROLS
UK6 - REAR SEAT AUDIO CONTROLS
UQ3 - ENHANCED AUDIO SPEAKERS
US8 - AM/FM STEREO WITH CD/MP3

Does this have a separate amp? I just replaced all four door speakers and 3 of them are working now. (None of the front or rear door speakers had sound.

Oddly enough two fronts have sound and left rear door works.

Also is the XM tuner inside the dash unit or is it separate?

Part numbers of the dash unit are GM 25782841 and Delphi 28076188

Thanks for any help on this.

Judging by the codes I found, if it says With Amplifier, it has it, if not then no.
I looked through the entertainment electrical connections data and found nothing that called out a satellite or XM receiver connection, so that would lead me to believe it is built into the radio head unit.

Default Will try new Dash Unitt

I bought unlocked dash radio unit on eBay.

Rear seat headphones only have one channel working. Just some static on the dead side.

Hopefully that will fix it.

Default Still messed up

When I replaced speakers 3 of the 4 worked for awhile. Then driver door speaker quit working. New head unit arrived and it did not change anything.

What else could be cutting out the speakers? The rear seat controls?

Its possible, but I don't think the rear controls have control over the vehicle speakers, only head phone channel...but I won't swear to that..

You can check to see if you have an amp, as it should be located in/under the center console

Default Headphones

Last night I took driver door panel off and and somehow got the that speaker to work. The connector Crutchfield sent may have been loose. I pushed it together and taped it.

Still nothing from right rear door. If you stick headphones in the rear seat controls that kills the rear door speakers. That is what makes me suspect the rear seat controls.

I wanted to check continuity of the speaker wires, but they change colors between the Head unit and the speakers.

If your xm tuner is seperate it would be located behind the glove compartment. Just push up the tab to your glove compartment and the glove will come down so you can check.

As far as speakers working I would check all connections. Is your radio a Bose unit? If it is a Bose unit you will have an amplifier located under the center console.

Default Not Bose

Not a Bose system.

I found correct replacement head unit, but that did not fix it.

I've checked the connections as much as I can. I'll probably end up taking it to a car audio place.
