At the risk of sounding like
an ad for Crutchfield I removed the
prices. Any advice on the stuff listed is
appreciated... I got the cable made up to allow the reuse of
the factory XM antenna. I also decided I didn't need the
8120 as the 7120 wasn't much different for my needs. Only
3 differences. 2 year warranty, output voltage if you're using
a different amp and 1 usb instead of 2.

Very nice package. The Lan-02 module should work nicely, they are pretty easy to install. The harness for the rear video seems a bit pricey but worth it if you don't like the idea of soldering RCA's to the harness. If you want to save the $40 we can gie you pin-outs. Alsoa tip for that part of the install, when powering up the infared tranmitters, you have to by-pass the module as the output is not strong enough to power both the screen and the transmitters.
Don't buy the butt connectors. They are the devil! haha Seriously, twist\tape the wires so you are sure that you have a solid connection. Some people swear by them, I hate them. I have seen so many problem caused by butt connectors and T-Taps(or scotch locks).

Also looks like you're gettin 2 XM kits. one that comes with a home kit and one without.....make sure you're not paying double

one last thing that I see you're not getting and is a must have...the dash kit!

Good-luck with everything man

Soldered splices w/ shrink tubing are good.

Thanks for the comments guys... One thing I'd like you to tell me more about Shawn is the comment you made...

"If you want to save the $40 we can gie you pin-outs. Alsoa tip for that part of the install, when powering up the infared tranmitters, you have to by-pass the module as the output is not strong enough to power both the screen and the transmitters."

Can you supply the pin outs so I can just know what got done for me and in case I don't like the job the adapter did? And can you put up a wiring diagram of what wires need to be re run that are not able to carry the load for the screen and the transmitters?

Thanks for all of your help...

I should have asked this above but forgot.. The connectors question... Do you guys not like standard wire nuts? Do you recommend just twisting them together and soldering?

Thanks... Gary

Wire nuts are used in the home, not in the car. splice\soldering is the best\only way to go in the car

As for the video wires, I'm assuming you only have 1 overhead screen, if you have 2 i'll post more info later

in connector C3 (GRAY)
PIN 7 DK GRN Video (+)
PIN 15 WHT\BLK Video (-)
PIN 3 LT BLU Audio Left (+)
PIN 4 LT BLU Audio Right (+)
PIN 11 LT BLU Audio Common (- for both left and right)

in connector C1 (BLACK)
PIN 6 WHT You need to cut this wire and install a relay to amplify the power to the video accessories. The radio side of the wire should trigger the relay on pin 86. Pin 85 should go to ground. Pin 87 will go to the vehicle side of the white wire. And pin 30 will go to 12V

You must drop the over head video for this next part

Pin 4 (Pink) of the infared emitter module Must be cut and tapped into the white (PIN 8) wire of the video screen

Thanks for the above info. I'm assuming that I will use the adapter on the video wires. What has me concerned is that you are saying that the one part won't work with it and it sounds like that is that part that will have to be gotten to on the above (one middle) DVD player. Are the pin 4 and pin 8 you've mentioned in the above DVD player and just have to be connected up there?

Thanks... Gary

They have to be connected up at the video screen itself. But you also must use the relay to amplify the power to the white wire as I stated or you will have no audio for the wireless headphones.

Does the vehicle have 2 overhead screens or just one?

Recommend heat shrink tubing instead of tape after soldering splices.
