HELP!!!

Thank you!
its part of the bulletin on throttle position sensor. They will cover it up to 10 years 120,000 miles. Just got mine done.

Default Vehicle issues

I am having the same issue. I had my motor rebuilt back in 2017 because I lost compression on number 7 cylinder. Now the Stabilitrak light is coming on it is idling rough and there is a ticking noise. I have searched and found that this problem is very common. Apparently GM knows about this and has done nothing to correct the problem. I have contacted a lawyer and would love for people to get in on this to help get this issue solved. The only way it's going to work is if people are behind this. We should not be having this much trouble out of our vehicles. The time and the money wasted is getting to be a real problem. Please contact me on this forum and let's get this thing going

Default Vehicle issues

I am having the same problem. I had my motor rebuilt back in 2015. Now the Stabilitrak light is coming on idling real rough no power and there is a ticking noise. I have searched online and this seems to be a common problem among many GM owners. I have contacted a lawyer who represented the Dex Cool case back in 2008. Where is owners should not have to be putting out this much money on a problem that GM is aware of and has done nothing about. Please help me get this thing going because the time and the money wasted is getting ridiculous. I have noticed by searching that the ticking noise is probably a lifter and I am not paying to have my motor rebuilt again when the motor only has 27000 miles on it. Please contact me on here and let's get this thing going. Thanks

Default So far so good

New to the forum but been reading this thread for days. I have a 07 Tahoe LT and was getting the "Service Stabilitrak" alert as well. After reading through it looks like three of the most common causes were spark plugs, TPS, and brake switch. I pulled one of my spark plugs out and, to my untrained eye, did not look so good. So, I went ahead and replaced all 8. I have since driven about 80 miles and, knock on wood, no issues! If anything changes, I will post an update. Thank you to all of you who have contributed and hopefully saved me thousands in unnecessary repairs!

Default Stabilitrak Issues and Engine Power is reduced

So when my Stabilitrak gives me issues, it makes my car drive really crazy. It will say Engjne power is reducing and sometimes it will make the car start jumping, like a misfire with the spark plugs or something. We have snow coming and I cant be stuck in the house because my Chevy Equinox will start acting crazy on me. I just Want to know what to do. I see All these other people having the same problems but they never got them resolved.

Please keep us posted. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Default issues on my 2017 Tahoe with my power steering assist, stabiltrak and brake system

[QUOTE=deeeberly;251140]Is there a link between StabiliTrak and power steering? Yesterday I left my key in the ignition in the off position. When we jumped the car last night, the stabilitrak light came on and I didn't have power steering anymore. I still have both issues today. I've tried to turn off traction control and stabilitrak, and both of the problems still persist.[/

Experiencing multiple issues with 2015 Tahoe. Stabiltrak issues pops up frequently along with braking system issue. Now the total shut down of the Power Assist system is rendering the vehicle almost impossible to turn. A long with this, the a/c stops blowing cold air, and the speedometer reads 0, and cruise control shuts off. This has occurred alog recently with the temperature near 100 degrees. Leads be to believe the computer is overheating. I have videos, and an appointment with the dealership on Thursday. The vehicle has 32000 miles. This happened during the warrantee period, but the dealership stated they could not find a problem.

unfortunately there is no easy answer - the stabilitrak warning is a message that could indicate many different things. Some of the items I have seen on the forum over the past few years are: spark plug condition, spark plug wire or coil pak, throttle position sensor, transfer case speed sensors, bad electrical connections, etc. Your best bet is to read this forum carefully. I have a 07 suburban and 07 Silverado 1500.

This may be a waste, but, have you tried rebooting your Tahoe? Disconnect the battery and leave disconnected for a while. I use 30 minutes, but, others here may have more pertinent information on the time to leave off the battery connection.

The last poster said it pretty well. GM has made this the default position for most any condition, even just a dirty connection. Be sure to read all the posts for some advice and guidance.
