Default need help!!!!

hi, i'm new here. but I have 2008 chevy suburban. about a week ago, the truck started to drive funny. it wouldn't go pass 35 mph and the reduce engine power pop up. I first check the transmission fluid, it was low. I added what was needed. and then I scan the truck and I got code p0641. so after I ran the scan I started the truck an it stayed running for about 5 min then shut off on its own. I tried to start it again an it wouldn't start. so i kept trying to start it. an it wouldn't start. I listen for the fuel pump to come on, I didn't here nothing. so now I go thru the fuses they were good and then I go an check FSCM. I went off of GM FLASH procedure. an I came up with fscm was bad. so I order one from GM FLASH. and after I installed the new fscm , the truck still not starting. if I hot wire the fuel pump, it do come on. I check the fuel rail an there is gas coming out. I don't know the psi of it. but is there anyone who can help me, I would love to hear from u thanks.

Well,I dont know much about this GM FLASH, but that could be the issue. P0641 is a problem with your tranny.

There is a pip bulletin or document #2234180 (add p0641 to narrow your search) referring to a possible short in the wiring harness by the front drive shaft. I know there is a forum somewhere that somebody posted the details. Your Suburban falls under the affected applicable models I believe.

Thanks for the reply, but do you think that code P0641 is stopping the truck from starting?

Did you Google the 641?many possibilities,it's open 5v reference,so now to figure out what sensors are on the 5 v reference and test them, you said it ran funny, could be cam sensor

How would I figure out, what all sensors use 5 volts? And one thing I forgot to mention is. Sometimes when I'm trying to start the truck, it would start for about 3 sec. an then cut off. It will do that every time it sit for a little while. But if I try to start it right after it cut off. It just crank with no start.

geo1, you caught me. Glad your here too my friend. Definately seems like a great place here.

@wa101, were you able to see that document? I didnt want to post the text of it since I'm unsure about copyright. If there is damage to the wires in the harness, you could have 1 code, no codes, or 15 codes. 1 symptom, or many. The special keywords in these bulletins are "may" and "and/or". I hope you don't think that I'm insisting that this is your issue, but I do think that document includes your vehicle, symptoms, and your code (p0641). Doesn't cost anything but time to take a closer look.
