This one is starting ot get to me so i need some help...

Not a mechanics so please bear with me...

When i push the rear hatch release switch in the truck, i can hear the release in the back, but it will not stay unlock long enough for me to walk there and open the hatch up.

So the only way to open it up is to have one person hit the switch and an other personto open the rear window as soon as it release... I attempted to remove the cover and all the trim on the tailgate but though i may asked here before i go further asnd get frustarted.. Any advice will be appreciated.
