Default wheel offset questions?

hey all, just bought an 07 Tahoe and i am looking to get new aftermarket rims. What will an offset of +12 vs a +20-30 do to the wheel sticking out. Any thoughts for a 22x9 or 24x10??

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. A +12 9" wheel will stick out past the fenders. []

Others here can chime in on 22 & 24 wheels.

+30 on a 24 sticks out by an inch or maybe less

I dont think its going to be anywhere near an inch. I have +25's on 24X9 on the back and they sit pretty flush or if anything a little inboard of the lip. On the front we took the +25 and shaved it down to around +30. The front rides pretty flush or a hair out from the fender. I am talking about the tire profile as well not the wheel.

+12/+10 is a good offset if your looking for a 4wd lifted tire look without sticking way out there.......

I have a 2008 Z71 and am looking to put on 20's. I'm going for more the offroad look and will probably put BFG's or Nitto Terra Grapplers on. I like the Helo Maxx 6 rim, but the offset ranges from -25 to +18 according to the wheel pros website. My tire and wheel guy here says they will stick out too far and is steering me more towards american racing products since they offer rims with offsets more in the +30 range which is similar to stock.

Has anyone put that rim on or one with similar specs?

Offsets are also going to be determined by the width of the wheel as well. Ex: 22x9 and a 22x10 both with a +30 offset are going to look totally different. We need to know the width of the wheel to determine the proper offset.

The Helo's are 20x10. The AR rims I was looking at were 20x8.5.

hey guys thanks for the replys. im lookin at 24x10 with +12 and +20/+30 offset and the same in a 22x9 rim. I don't want them to stick out too far.
