Default How do you remove the ignition cylinder

Trying to replace my ignition switch and cylinder on 2002 tracker how do you remove the bracket holding it in place looks like 2 Boltsit’s machine in with no way of removing them

Those are security bolts. The heads shear off during installation. Most people use a chisel to back them out. You can try cutting a slot in them with a Dremel tool or welding on a dimple if you are brave. They will come out with enough patience. Also, there are different ignition switch part numbers for automatic and manual transmissions.
