Unhappy possible starter problem

hi all
Im Newbie here
I have a 2002 Tracker i think might have a starter problem,im really not sure because the way its acting
when you got to crank up the tracker what you get is all the lights just about goes out,& belive it or not the radio will come on
it started doing this yesterday, the tracker is all orginal, nothing has been changed in it the only thing that has been done to it is over the summer i replaced the front grill
this car belonged to my mom, which is no longer able to drive anymore.
my late father kept this car up & going when it needed something he did it or took it to the shop
about a week ago something on the dash came on saying "power", but it still would crank up as usual,no problem, its been pretty good so far ,ive took it to Texas this spring
and took it to the gulf shores with no problem
i have looked up the location of the starter here & mine has some kind of brace over the top of it,i have no idea about this, ive replaced all kinds of starters in the past but this one is a new ball of wax to me
i thought maybe the battery was bad,so when i got home its showing the battery is good
i thought maybe the battery was low when i got home,it was a little charged right back up in about 20 minutes
so i tried to startt it again, went right back like it did ,i can jump it off & will run as usual
any ideas?

Welcome to Chevrolet Forum.

You need to post this to the past Chevrolet Trucks forum/Tracker to get a good response.
