TrailBlazer 2002-2009
2023- The TrailBlazer, originally introduced as an upscale Blazer, was produced from 2002 to 2008 with a powerful I6 engine and with a monster V8 offered in the Trailblazer SS
Platform: GMT 305, 360, & 370.

Fan clutch not engaged until engine is 200 degrees.

Please be very careful if you do this. The throttle body shares a 5 volt reference signal with the fan clutch, and if that signal becomes degraded the ECM will put the truck in Reduced Engine Power mode, and you will be limited to 5 mph. The ECM does this because it no longer knows exactly what the true position of the throttle plate is, and it basically shuts down the throttle body to prevent a runaway situation.
Some people have replaced the fan clutch with an electric fan, but then the ECM needs reprogrammed to make it work properly. I've not done this myself, so I don't know exactly what's involved with it.
I believe the later model TB's ('07-'09) had a thermal fan clutch rather than an electronic one, so you may be able to use one of them. Again, you may need the ECM reprogrammed to make it work. I honestly don't know about that, though.

We gave up on that fan crutch business. I got an electric fan and bolted it in the shroud. Now, I'm in the process of running down schematics to see which wire is hot with the key.
