Angry 2010 Traverse Power Lift Gate Issue

I bought a 2010 Chevy Traverse used with a little over 40k miles on it and now I'm having an issue with the power lift gate. It's gotten so bad that I cannot set my alarm on it. The indicator says power lift gate open, but it's not. Is there any way to fix this by disconnecting the sensor or something?

I brought the car used from a private lot, is there anyway of taking it to a regular chevy/GM dealer to get it fixed?

You can still take your vehicle into a Chevrolet dealership for service. Since you purchased the vehicle used, from a non-GM dealership it is very difficult to determine what kind of treatment and maintenance the car received prior to your ownership. Nonetheless, the dealership should be able to take a look at this issue for you. If you'd like to provide your zip code we can list a few dealerships in your area.

The sad thing is, I called one dealer and they told me, they couldn't see me until next month, the other dealership service department never answers the phone. My zip code is 21223.

Kristen, Since I brought my vehicle used from a private lot, I have tried 2 different Chevy dealers to get service. One the service department never answered the phone and the other is backed up. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi mwyche2,

We've located the following dealers in your area: Autonation Chevrolet Security Blvd., Bob Bell Chevrolet/ Nissan Inc., J.B.A Chevrolet, Miller Brothers Chevrolet. All of these dealers are within about 10 miles of the zip code you've provided. Have you already tried reaching out to one of these dealers? If you'd like to send us a private message with your VIN and full contact information we can try to contact a dealership on your behalf.
