2008 Uplander Remote Start Disabled
Bought a used Uplander a few years ago without fobs. Got a fob programmed today and, while the remote start button will flash the turn signals, “Remote Start Disabled” shows on the DIC. I have no CeL and fluid levels are adequate and I am attempting this with the engine cold. However, I do have traction control and ABS lights on and the DIC says service stability system. Would this prevent the remote start from working? Kind of at a loss as to where to even begin troubleshooting this.

the uplander uses the pk3 passkey system.
i have a aftermarket one installed. MPC variant
I get the same message as you do on a 3 x Lock press on the remote fob. one turn signal (outer body) flash press x 3. mine came with a bypass module that clones the RFID from they key you used. tho it still shows remote start disabled as it only temporarily broadcast the cloned RFID during start.
tho if you simply place the end of the key near the ignition. the message goes away.
you can have 4 keys and 4 fobs paired.
