Front 12 Volt socket quit working
The front 12 V "cigarette lighter" socket quit working in my '07 LS Uplander.
The rear socket works and the fuse #23 is good in the fusebox under the hood. I will need to get to the socket at the bottom of the console and I'm not sure how to remove the panel(s) on the sides of the console.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Bob

Yeah my '08 Cargo had a dead console 12v socket when I bought it. I went and bought another at the dealership for about $5 a few years back.
The plastic side panels have metal clips that snap in and out with enough pressure. There are 5 metal clips around the perimeter of each side panel.
There are 3 on each side from top to bottom of the front console. Just ****** the front console straight out which also is secured by metal clips but keep in mind the 12v socket harness is connected behind the console so give it a quick short yank so that you don't put too much strain on the harness behind it.
BTW, I'm still dealing with the slow coolant leak on my '08 and it appears to be the crossover pipe.
I was going to bump your original post just so myself and other owners would know how long to expect the gasket/o ring repair to last if that's ok with you.
Thanks,
Jeremy
