Take an iconic Chevy C10, give it a reliable powertrain and mild custom touches, and you’ve got the perfect pickup.

If somebody were to do the research and figure out what the most popular modded vehicles in the world are, we’d wager that the Chevy C10 would rank right near the top. But that’s really not a surprise when you’re talking about one of the best looking trucks ever built. Even in stock form, the C10 still looks incredible today, decades after it landed on dealer lots. Give them a few tasteful mods, and we’d wager there’s nothing that can touch this classic Chevy.

That’s certainly the case with this beautiful yellow ’68 Chevy C10 we found over at The Classic Car Network. The builder/previous owner of this classic pickup took special care to only enhance its greatness, not detract from it. Thus, the Stepside body is nearly stock, save for an emblem delete and cowl hood. And, of course, a gorgeous paint job covering arrow-straight body work.

The stock engine and transmission were completely ditched, however. In their place lies a more modern LT1 small block V8, backed up by a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The predecessor to the LS family might not be quite as powerful, but this truck was built as more of a cruiser than a hot rod. And according to the seller, it has the trophies to back it up.

Capping off the tasteful build is a custom gray interior with yellow stitching to match the exterior. And it perfectly matches the simple yet effective theme of this classic Chevy build. But when you’re starting with something as iconic as the C10, that’s really the best way to go in our book!
