Krazy Kajun,

I'm glad your dealer actually cares. My dealer never even called just a cool blow-off. SMH

I have a 2008 chevrolet Silverado, the dash just cracked to the left of the Instrument Cluster. I do have 145K miles on it as I drive a lot for work. The truck is in immaculate shape.

Anyone have any dealers in Orange County, CA that they have worked with that are aware of this issue.

I cannot help you with the warranty question. But if you need your current dash to stop cracking, or want to protect your new one, Try rubbing a thin layer of vasoline on it. I have done this to a 79 bonanza about 9 years ago, and redoing it ever 3 months or so, once a month in the summer, and to this day that dash still has the one crack from having a enraged girlfriend punch it.....

Went through the process of the cracking dash and although GM did help with gathering the information and looked into my issue. They attempted to make the dealer pay for the repair which the dealer denied. Not sure I would take the hit as a dealer for a manufacturing flaw. GM took no responsibility in the product they put out. I have officially purchased my last GM vehicle. Oh well, at least I tried.

GM Denied to pay for any of it. I understand I am over on warranty, but it is cracking in the same spot as everyone else. I am, or should say was a loyal GM Customer, I have never not owned a GM Product for my car or my wife's.

Not anymore, over a $800 issue, come on GM Step up.

I see the customer service rep on here has gone quiet as well.

Hi Chris C.

I apologize that you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your case. We'd like the opportunity to take a second look at this situation to see if there's anything else we can do for you. Can you please private message us your name, VIN, and/or case number so we can look more into this for you? Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you.
