I have a 2004 Chevy 1500 2wd manual. The ignition control switch allows me to insert the key however the key can not switch out of the lock position. I have seen videos to remove it but it requires the key to be in "run" position. This is not possible for the ignition switch doesn't allow me to turn they key anymore. Is there any other ways to go about replacing the ignition switch?

sounds like a worn out key. try the second key
