Default 3 1999 malibu problems

I have 3 issues with my 1999 malibu that I am looking for help with.
1. I have a engine code reader and I can not get ride of code that points to the EGR being bad. I replaced it and it went away for about 1 month. I tried unpluging it,turn on engine, reset code, plug it back in, but keeps coming back. Any Ideas? I forget the problem code? 1404 I think?

2. One of my low beam headlights is out. I went to replace it. then it came back on without putting in new bulb. So I was thinking just a bad or dirty conntection. I noticed it was off again. Put in the new bulb and still does not work. Drivers side of car has issue. High beams work great. Any ideas?

3. I noticed I have been leaking something and just figured it out. It is coming from power steering pump. The noise help narrow it down. I put in some more fluid until ready to work on it. Still in noise. Is this a sign that pump is going bad or air in line? I know its all a sign of get a new car. LOL!

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

You may have carbon build up in the chamber or the tubing for the EGR.
The lights .... check the wiring for corrosion.
