Does it stay running after you prime it?

Two things, what is the idle rpm? I think there is a check valve that prevents total fuel drain back, thats where I'd look. Not trying to sell a Haynes or Chiltons, but I don't know where to tell you to look. Check valves rarely go bad, but you could have trash in it keeping it open on shutdown.

I don't have anything on this model, I am sure there is a check valve in the system, it might even be in the fuel filter. I hope someone else can respond. Brother I know what it's like to have to get a vehicle running when broke on the weekend to get to work.

It may be in the filter. Follow the fuel line under the frame (I am not sure where it is, but sure it has one).

I don't know, probably not since you replaced the filter. Get a fuel system diagram, and see if (I am sure it does) where it is.
