denayer, I agree this is not random as well as it is happening in the same exact location. It is definitely a flaw (most likely the mold). I wont exactly be happy but will definitely have it replaced if it cost $100-$200 vs. $800.

On another note, Just purchased a 2010 MDX for my wife. Absolutely love it for her. Just took it up north and performed exceptional in the ice and snow. Note: if you are 6' or taller it feels a little cramped in the driver seat.

in2pro, thanks for the tip. I am going to call this week and see what I can get done.

so because of a dash crack in your 2007 Tahoe you bought an Acura vs the Chevy for your wife? that is a stretch but if I had the money I would also pick the MDX. Probably the only good looking vehicle Acura makes right now (ugly beaks)

No, I did not buy the Acura vs. a Tahoe. The Tahoe is my ride. Bought my wife the Acura because it was what she liked. I was just giving some feedback because he said they were looking at the MDX.

I am having the EXACT same cracked dashboard issue with 2007 Tahoe. 1 long crack on the left side of the dash to the left of the hump covering the instrument panel. The other crack is much shorter on the passenger side from the defrost vent to the edge of the airbag compartment.

The Customer Assistance Center (866-790-5600) had me take my car to the dealer and they assessing the situation. Customer Assistance has been very careful to not make any promises. If they make me mad I will give you all my contacts name and extension.

Stay tuned.

GM is telling me they will replace the dash but I have to pay a $250 deductible.

Fair or BS?

work with your dealer more - even when you call GM CS all they do is see what the dealer will do. Mine told me $200 to replace when I 1st called and after dealing with GM CS it was still $200.

Thanks Ousig2408.

Got a call from the deal yesterday, they told me if I was willing to pay my deductible of $250 they will replace it. Not bad but I still think it's BS.

I should probably share this with everyone while I'm at it.

I was told if the Customer Care gets over 5000 complaints about the same thing, they issue a "bulletin" to the dealers to just fix it. If Customer Care gets over 25,000 complaints about the same thing, they issue a "Recall" Let's get this to at least "bulletin" status.

Call 800-222-1020.
