Welcome to the forum..
There are a couple of ways to connect a second battery and it will also depend on how you want that battery utilized, you can use the forum search feature , here is one of the write ups

I recently bought a 2008 Tahoe and it has just started with these same problems, they seem to get worse every day. I find it ridiculous that this problem is so common and Chevrolet has not recalled it! It's readily apparent that this a design flaw by Chevrolet and it's abhorrent that they will not stand behind their mistake. I am a die hard Chevy fan and have owned exclusively Chevrolets my whole life, you expect us to be loyal to your brand and stay that way then you need to step up when it becomes overwhelmingly clear that this is not just normal wear and tear but rather a bad design and fix it! The answer should NOT be, "take it to your local dealership and pay close to a grand to fix a problem that shouldn't have happened in the first place. You have designed cables with faulty connectors which cost over 100$ a piece and there isn't just one simple positive and ground but multiple cables all of which are outrageously priced, faulty junction boxes, and faulty fuse relay connectors. It's not simple corrosion when you have nearly a decade long thread with the exact same complaints. Smh shame on you Chevrolet.
