Everything should be in the off position prior to doing the recalibration

The reason you get warm are is not due to an AC issue but the blend door, the blend doors are what move to allow cold air to be circulated or hot air to be circulated....
The AC only works when you turn it on, however the heater works anytime the engine is running, depending on the position of the blend door you get cold air or hot air...
Sounds like you are getting warm air mixed with your cold air due to the blend door being in the wrong position.....

To try the relearn procedure do the following....
1. Removed the 10amp HVAC fuse located in the underhood fuse block for 10 seconds...
2. Re-install the fuse
3. Start the vehicle, DO NOT touch or adjust the HVAC settings for 1 full minute while the system goes through its learn procedure....
4. Once the full minute is done you can check the settings of the blend doors by setting primary/drivers side to cold or hot....

If this does not do the trick, most likely the blend door actuator is bad and will need to be replaced...
what if we already tried all of that. I have a 2009 Chevy Tahoe and my AC started blowing hot air from my driver side and cold from my passenger side. I already changed the blend door and mode door actuators, I already did the fuse and also the batter disconnect for a few minutes and still have no luck with the "relearn" process. Is there anything else it can be? I am very confussed and not sure what is going on. This started happening after a battery change.

Try disconnecting the battery again for an hour or two. A full scan of the HVAC system may be needed also. A regular P code scan tool will not read other onboard code families to see what the system modules are seeing.
My '11 LTZ has 41 onboard modules that talk to the onboard communication system.
