Default 2015 Tahoe

Just purchased a new 2015 Tahoe LT with 1LT package, absolutely love it. Need help! Couple questions that the dealer couldn't answer.

1) Is there a way to disable the auto dimming mirrors at night, I was able to on my 2009 with a button on the rear view mirror.

2) There is a flashing green indicator light on a small module that is mounted under the dash next to the DLC on the driver's side. It flashes all the time and there is a small button on the bottom of the module. Does anyone have any idea what that thing is? I have a picture I can post if need be.

Thank you in advance,

Carlo

Welcome to the forum.

Go back to the dealer (after you have read the owners manual) and ask to see the GM. I'll bet that they will find someone that can answer your questions. Let us know what you find out.

i'll have to get the manual, love night time reading.

the PDF should be on the GM site, unless they think they can charge for that 'option' lol.

I want the opposite of what u want... I want my mirrors (all 3) dimmed all the time.

speaking of...

does the Passenger sideview mirror auto dim on the 2015?

I've read the manual and there's nothing there about it. It only talks about the Data Link Connector, nothing more. Pain in the butt. I asked the dealer and the service guy said it was for safety. safety what?? I think the right side dims as well but I'll have to check now that you say that.

My guess on the module is some kind of dealer security device. Maybe the dealer forgot to remove it when they prepped it?

Yep GM tracking device, dang it. Intheburbs called it, aftermarket theft device they forgot to take out that was inactive.

Auto dimming question, this is what the dealer said. "Here's a scanned page of the manual that states its auto dimming." Wow, really, thanks!? That was no help so I clarified the question and asked again. We shall see if they get a better answer this time. And yes, the passenger mirror dims as well as far as I can tell.
