UPDATE: It was my fuel pump. Truck is running now.

The truck gets fuel and you can hear the fuel pump come on and go off. If you bleed the fuel line, gas comes out but it's like a trickle. The dash lights that are on are Check Gauges, Service Engine, and the battery icon. I get the following code

Any ideas before I have to start buying a bunch of parts that don't help fix the issue?

I wouldn't think one cylinder would cause a "no start" condition; might run crappy but should still start. Does it try and run or just turn over w/o firing at all?

 

It turns over. The guy poured gas in the mod (carburetor looking thing) and it starts for a few seconds then cuts off. I've had 3 people look at it and they are saying fuel pump needs replacing but they all said they can hear it come on and go off.

 

Same here. If you are getting a trickle from the fuel rail, I'd look at fuel pump.

 

If it starts/runs pouring gas in, you know you have spark. In my 93 when it did this I replaced the ICM in the distributor and that fixed it. It has happened to me twice.

 

ICM is ignition control module?

 

Correct - for my 93 the failed icm shut down the throttle body injectors. Pump ran but no injector operation. Don't know if a 99 has same unit in distributor but it's an easy part to change, not overly expensive and commonly fails.

 

Change the fuel filter is step one for low flow.
