Tahoe & SuburbanThe power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.
on my 2003 chevy suburban, I replaced the compressor, accumulator, and orifice tube. the A/C blows really cold air (measured to 40 degrees) when the blower speed is set to the lowest setting. The blower fan works at all speeds, as i have the "LED" bar graph to indicate when I increase or decrease the blower motor speed. the problem is when i increased the blower speed, (as measured via a thermometer) I noticed the temperature slowly rises. when i turn the blower speed down, the temperature in car again slowly drops down to the low 40 degree range.
what can i check to remedy this problem. the fact that the AC is really cold at a low setting indicate my AC compressor is ok?
I have included images of the low side of the ac, which does get very cold to touch on both sides of the LOW side connector. i took snapshots of my AC manifold tool gauges.
When you recharged the system did you put the 134 by weight ? That is the proper way. It may be slightly undercharged. Low side looks a little low at under 30 and at higher rpm it can cycle on the the low pressure cutoff.
