Default Gas Mileage

Once again the question is asked, sorry...

I have a 2007 LTZ suburban and just broke 10,000 miles. when I first got her she was only getting 10 MPG. After about 5000 miles she jumped up to 11.7 MPG. Is this were she stops or could I expect to get a little more out of her?

All my driving is city miles and maybe if I jump on a highway its only for a few exits.

I only have maybe an extra 75 pounds in the cargo area and I'M running on 20's if that helps at all...

My '07 Tahoe has 16K now and city mileage is in the 10-12 range driving it easy. Have 20s also. I wouldn't expect much more but others seem to do a lot better.

I have an '07 LT3 with over 33k miles. I average 17.5 mpg with mostly highway driving. City driving doesn't go too far down at around 15.5 mpg

I have 22s and average about 10.7 around town and about 14-16 on the highway.

Does anyone know what the weight is of the stock GM 20's versus an aftermarket 22" setup? I have noticed a difference in the ride; not so much because of the lower profile tires but more because I think the autoride suspension has a tough time with the extra weight. Anyone else notice this?

I have an 07 Hoe LS (4.8 liter) with original 17s. I get 17.0 mpg (according to DIC) and 16.7 mpg (according to me) 50 50 hwy city combo. I am easy on accelerator and glide to stop. I am planning to change to nitrogen in the next tire rotation (13K miles) I will post again if there is any imporvement in gas mileage.

08 Tahoe LS with 20s and 5.7L mostly highway. Get 19.1 to 19.6 mpg. City driving goes down to around17 mpg. Noenginemods but I dorun synthetic oil.

I would expectthe Burbs todrink a tad more gas, but I'm surprised at the low mpg that is being experienced.

Mary you mean 5.3 liter right not 5.7 . The wife and I are about to head out on road trip and do some camping next week. We will be driving out to west Texas from Austin. It will my first offical long trip (empty a tank going one way)since I got my 07 in October. I am guessing at least 20 to 22mpg if we get no strong head winds, it should mostly be flat to moderate inclines. I have gotten 20mpg just going between Austin and San Antonio.
