I dont see why it would matter. However, I personally would do the install and have it programmed, then install the lockpick!

I have a question about my Tahoe LT... I have the bucket seats but I don't think I do not have the Bose system. Do I still have the Bose amp ? I read the begining of this thread and you said all trucks that had the bucket seats had the Bose amp. Also if I don't have the Bose amp is there anyway to install a factory Nav in my Tahoe?

I think that the post said/meant that if you didn't have buckets, you couldn't have the Bose amp or sub. Check your speaker grills on the A-pillars to see if they say Bose.

Since this thread is stickied to the top, suggest you try starting a new thread with your specific question. Might try a subject line like "Is factory Nav without Bose possible?"

Hi,
Newbie here. Will be installing a factory nav system in my 07 and trying to figure out why this in the first post of instructions--
"Now remove the A-pillar covers by prying the access plug out on driver side and remove the fastener(s), remove the grab handle on the passenger’s side and unplug the tweeter leads."
What does this accomplish? And are the leads then left unplugged as nothing is said about re-connecting them?
Thanks

Is this a joke? Of course you would put them back on and plug the tweets back up. You remove them to make it easier to remove the top dash panel to mount the navigation antenna!

Sorry, no it was not a joke. I pick up my 07 tomorrow or the next day, so I don't physically have it here to see why the posts were removed. Now I understand!
Thanks
