Default No Domelights and sunroof inop...

Hi I just bought this 2002 Tahoe with 89k miles on it. However the Dome lights and sunroof don't work. The fuse under the hood pops instantly. I have pulled out all bulbs and unhooked sunroof motor, and fuse still blows instantly. I pull inadvert relay and fuse doesn't blow and if I unplug Brown connector on BCM it doesn't blow with Inadvert relay in. Swapped relays around and no change. So where would I begin looking for dead short to ground on an orange wire? I'm a professional mechanic and im totally stumped on this.

Are you referring to the orange wire from the INADV relay? If yes, that wire feeds the Courtesy Lamp Module. You may have a bad module, or a short on the ORN/BLK wire feeding the interior lights from the module.
