Default Suddenly, zero electrical power anywhere

I have a ‘no electrical power’ condition and I need some advice in what to check.

Backstory: The truck is a 2001 ½-ton and it’s been running fine recently. The battery is only a couple months old and the truck has an aftermarket remote start on it, which has been professionally installed for 13 years and never been problematic. I had it running on remote start recently and jumped in and tapped the brake before inserting the key in the ignition. It shut off, as it’s supposed to. Upon trying to re-start it, I have zero electrical power to anything in the truck.

In my head, I’ve dismissed the remote starter being the culprit because this is not a starting issue (correct me if I’m wrong). Is there some sort of main power fuse right off the battery that wouldn’t allow anything in the truck to power up? If so, where is it? If there’s anything else I should check, please let me know.

The truck is stranded at work and it’s very cold outside, so I’m trying to educate myself before I spend hours outside messing with it in the dark. Thanks!

First step is to check both battery cables for tightness and corrosion at both ends. I have had battery cables that are tight and look good but are not making a good connection.
